CAZ Academy talk featuring Laws.

Sat 16th Apr 2016 - 5:36pm : General : Gaming

Today we are going to interview 'Lawrence' someone you might remember from a while back!

So it’s been a while since we last spoke! For anyone who don’t know who you are, could you explain what you do at CAZ?

I am the Marketing guy for CAZ and I also help run the brand new CAZ Academy which has been received fantastically by various members of the UK scene, apart from that I run all social media operations as well as helping in the day to day running of the organisation.

You mention CAZ Academy; can you elaborate on what that is for the people who might not be aware?

The CAZ Academy is our latest project which brings in amateur players from the UK Counter Strike scene, we give these players a stable platform to grow with experienced staff that can help them progress in their journey as eSports competitors. We have done some fantastic work in the UK scene so far and as we venture into Europe with our main team we felt it was right for us to continue helping develop the UK scene as much as possible.

That’s great! So how's it developing, what’s the update on the teams under the Academy?

We currently have two teams under the Academy that are developing slowly but surely, I specifically work with Ryan, Leon and Jack who are a part of the 'Red' roster. At the moment, the teams are trialling various players to complete the roster and from there we will be working hard to ensure progress within these teams!

That’s good that they have a stable system to grow! So what events are they looking at attending in the near future?

At the moment we are focusing on creating the correct rosters to then move forward with, when we are happy with the teams we will then look at some regional events or foreign events that will provide a good experience for the players.

So what is happening with the open trials? Recently there hasn't been much news on it!

We are working hard behind the scenes to ensure we do the trials the correct way so we can identify the best players possible who enter the trial, we as well as the community are extremely excited about the trials. Make sure you check our website and Twitter page regularly for updates!

Lastly, for people who might not follow the team, who’s the standout player for CAZ.RED in your opinion?

It’s been great working with all the players, flk has improved as the IGL of the team and Leon's approach to the game and competition, in general, is very beneficial. For me Jack or better known as Snow is definitely a player to watch in our project, I enjoy watching him play and every day all the players are working hard!

Be sure you follow CAZ.RED's journey in the recent months!
